I'm a girl, so it's probably not a huge surprise that I like shopping. However, I'm not one of those people who wants to wander aimlessly around the mall for hours while dodging and weaving all of the other window shoppers, people with double-wide strollers who take up the entire walking space, or the grandparents who use the mall as their walking track. Therefore, I entered the amazing world of online shopping a couple years ago. It's GREAT! You can compare prices easily, it doesn't matter what you look like, and as previously stated, don't have to deal with people and their damn strollers!

Lately, however, my online shopping experiences have been dampened due to Ball State's lovely desk workers in the dorm. I ordered a very nice, Canon Rebel so that I could work for the Daily News. Instead of it arriving safely like all my other orders, my camera was abducted by an unknown worker and LOST for two weeks. I had to file a claim and everything; it was lovely. Luckily, my camera was found.
This is not the only problem with online shopping. Since everything in the world is being geared to provide extremely lazy people with everything they could ever want or need, the simplicity actually makes me spend more money. If I would actually have to go get my car, drive to a mall, walk around for an hour or two and then buy something ...I would be much less likely to do it very often. But since all I have to do is get online and type in some numbers, my bank account suddenly seems to be dwindling, especially with the holiday season upon us. I will get online to do some homework or check my email, and suddenly I am ordering shoes or looking for concert tickets. It's a disease, really. The first step is admitting, and I admit I have a problem. Unfortunately, I see no end in sight. I guess I can rationalize it a bit, because I do buy things for other people as well.
Still, online shopping is definitely one of my vices and realistically, my funds will continue to shrink at LEAST until the after Christmas.
Now, I have to go. I just thought of something to buy!
