Even when the first movie came out, I could not sit still in the theater because of how excited I was. I remember I went the day after it came out and I went with my brother and his friend. I will admit, they were alittle embarrassed to be seen with me, because I seemed to keep spasing out in my chair. As the movie went on, I couldn't help but think how perfect the actors were for the roles they were playing.
Throughout the movies and the books, I have felt as if I have grown up with the characters. I started reading the books around the same age as the characters, and feel I can relate to their growing pains, besides the wizard part. Through dealing with boys, gossip, and friend drama, any child I feel can relate to these books and movies.
This is my favorite scene in The Goblet of Fire, because it demonstrates how Harry and his friends are maturing. It also demonstrates that there is some light at the end of the tunnel, even though there are dark times in the story. As they are growing, they need friends more than ever, and as a result relationships grow out of these friendships and hardships.
Along with the relationships they with each other, Harry and his friends share a special bond with their headmaster, Dumbledore. When he dies in the 6th book, its almost as if Harry's father has been taken from him again.
Throughout the story, we as readers and viewers see the hardships and triumphs Harry and his friends go through. We may not be able to relate to them directly, but through our own hardships, I think everyone can relate to this story in some way.
