When I'm intoxicated I'm real sentimental. I want to communicate. But not with the people I'm with. I wanna Skype my mom or my baby man.
Lots of people have the problem of drunk texting or dialing (uh texts from last night crap) . But somehow drunk Skyping takes the cake because they can actually see you look like a total fool.
It started last semester when I studied abroad. The time difference was just so convient that when it was daytime in Indiana it was 3-4 am in London. Which pretty much meant every Friday and Saturday night I'd have to wait up until 4 am to catch my momma. This being said she witnessed some ridiculous behavior.
First of all I looked like this:
Second of all I talked about irrelavent, out of context, things like this:
Later in the week when I soberly Skype my mom, she's like "well, Molly you must have had a fun weekend..."(p.s. my mom really does that same hair flip)
I then recieved my weekly 30 minute lecture on how I shouldn't spend my semester in a drunken fog.
But... I'm a creature of habit so it happened a lot. And secretly I think my mom thought it was endearing and at least she knew I wasn't having too much fun if I ended up going home and Skyping with her.
Nowadays, my love interest is overseas. Which means those time zones make the conversations during the weekends very hazy.
But things are better because my sweetheart calls me out on it...
